Oh how I admire the bird
Who is rarely alone
And can comfort himself
On those rare occasions
By coasting among clouds.
And the ant I too admire,
For it is strong and gentle
And rarely alone--
And the elephant has those traits
Along with caring and trumpeting.
While the human can be any or all
Yet somehow manages
To be alone quite a lot
And to feel alone
Even when he's not.
Who is rarely alone
And can comfort himself
On those rare occasions
By coasting among clouds.
And the ant I too admire,
For it is strong and gentle
And rarely alone--
And the elephant has those traits
Along with caring and trumpeting.
While the human can be any or all
Yet somehow manages
To be alone quite a lot
And to feel alone
Even when he's not.
